MY ROLE

As the lead designer on this project, I collaborated closely with my good friend, Gabe Gutierrez, to build a cohesive visual identity rooted in Puerto Rican culture and craftsmanship. Together, we developed a series of custom pastry illustrations inspired by some of Puerto Rico’s most beloved traditional desserts, using them as a core storytelling element throughout the brand.

I led the redesign of the brand’s coquí logo, refining it into a more modern and elevated mark. To further ground the identity in place, I explored architectural details from Puerto Rico—drawing inspiration from the windows and facades of Old San Juan—and translated these elements into graphic motifs used across the brand system. My work also included developing a custom brand font system and designing flexible menu layouts and social media templates, along with business cards and a range of sticker, T-shirt, and tote bag designs. These assets ensured visual consistency across touchpoints while allowing the brand to feel expressive, warm, and deeply connected to its roots.
